Hoofdplaat

A small village just behind the sea dike.... Hoofdplaat is ideal for a vacation where you can completely unwind. Take a nice walk or go for a bike ride, and just really enjoy the nature around you. On the beach side you can bike along the coast and cycle to Breskens or even further. At the lookout jetty you will be rewarded with a beautiful view of the Westerschelde. Look carefully around you, you may see the "mullet" fish.

In early November, an annual 33-kilometer Liberation March is walked between Hoofdplaat and Knokke-Heist in memory of the Canadian liberation.
