What to see in Breskens?

The unique black and white cast iron lighthouse is a striking landmark on Breskens' seawall. The lighthouse has five floors and is accessible on weekends from April to October. In and around the Sint Barbara church you will find beautiful wood carvings and sculptures created by sculptor-pastor Omèr Gielliet.

In the fishing museum, among other things, you can see what Breskens looked like with its fishing boats, how fishing nets are made and you can also discover a collection of many animals. The first weekend of August sees the annual Fisheries Festival, a highlight of the town for many residents but also for tourists. If you are staying in Breskens during this weekend, we definitely recommend visiting!

For an outing with the kids, De Afslag in Breskens is a cool place. De Afslag has a restaurant, mini-golf and playground and is located at the foot of the dunes, in the lap of Droompark Schoneveld and Strandpark Scheldeveste.
